2. HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF
YOUR MAIN PRODUCTS AND ANCILLARY
TASKS?
3. • Throughout all three of our products we aimed to be consistent. Trying
to keep synergy within all of our products is very important.
• This was done by:
- Having an easily identifiable presenter that the audience will
immediately be able to recognize
- Using an easily recognizable image related to youth.
- The main product is based on youth and underage
drinking, therefore to follow on this continuity, we
used images of youths to promote our magazine
and included them in our radio advert.
- Having youth, instead of the presenter makes the
audience more aware of what the documentary
will be about.
4. - The image used in the magazine raises awareness to the audience
of the seriousness of the problem as it shows a youth drinking beer.
As our target audience is youth, by seeing this picture it could
attract their attention as they could relate to it, or know someone
who is underage and drinks. Having a personal attachment to the
documentary topic would interest our target audience further.
- If our audience could relate or would be interested in our product,
this would mean that the message of all our products worked
effectively together.
- The presenter who was featured in the main product was also used
in the radio advertisement to help follow the continuity. By using the
same presenter would help the audience easily identify and link the
documentary with the radio advert.
• However, the presenter wasn’t featured in the magazine, as we felt
the topic of our documentary was more important to put across to
our target audience.
