Promoted to National Trainer after 15 years of outstanding performance providing SCSEP services to
most in need seniors with significant barriers to employment in 16 counties across western and north
central PA. Annual service level was typically over 200 applicants. Supervised a staff of up to 10
program aides. Currently providing remote training delivery to SCSEP staff in 30 states and Puerto
Rico, serving as a subject matter expert on field operations, recruiting, workforce re-entry
training, and case management.
Community Action, Inc. Jefferson & Clarion Co, PA 1995–2001
Program Director, Supported Work Program
Designed, operated and supervised this agency’s first Welfare to Work Program contracted through the
Department of Public Welfare serving hard-core unemployed clients with multiple barriers to
employment, such as poor employment history, criminal record, lack of education. Designed all program
documentation; created all policies and procedures; served as primary case manager; provided
workforce re-entry training. Coordinated all training and education components for seven intensive case
management programs throughout the agency. Supervised a staff of two in two counties. Successful
outcomes ensured our eligibility for additional funding before the end of each grant year.
