JOB TITLE
Human Resources Adviser
JOB PURPOSE
With the HR Manager, ensure that Managers and employees within the
business units are given relevant, informed and professional advice and
support on all matters relating to Human Resources, and to ensure that the
HR Team objectives are met.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide advice and support to managers in respect of employment
relations issues, to ensure they are handled effectively and
professionally by the relevant manager, including discipline, grievance,
absence management and local pay negotiations.
Attend management meetings to establish and maintain relationships
and contribute to business discussions.
Assist managers in the development of appropriate selection and
recruitment practices including participating at interviews, administering
psychometric and ability testing instruments.
Assist and advise managers and where required take a lead role in the
process of organisational change, including business restructure,
redundancies, TUPE transfers and acquisitions.
Provide advice and guidance on terms and conditions of employment
and lead change programmes.
Assist the Human Resources Manger in the development and review of
policies and procedures, ensuring the policies and procedures are
adhered to and advise of changes to employment legislation.
Produce reports and advise managers on a variety of topics, including
absence statistics, salary information, pay benchmarking.
Provide training and coaching to managers and employees in matters
relating to Performance Appraisal, Recruitment & Selection, Discipline
& Grievance and Absence Management.
Undertake and assist with various projects, such as strategy
development, introduction of new initiatives.
