LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Introduction
Electronics media are media that use electronics or electromechanical
device to access the content.
• Electronics media are media that uses electricity, including radio, television, internet
and DVD etc..
• Electronic media has many uses including journalism, news, marketing, education,
engineering, digital art, virtual reality, entertainment, transportation and military
purposes.
• It is the tool that immediately transfers information, concept, ideas in to large
sector of audience in a short period of time.
CONCEPT OF MEDIA
❖Media is the Mean of Communication , and it is the plural of “medium”
which relates communication.
❖ It is derived from a Latin word “Medius” means (between)
❖ This term refers to anything that carries information b/w source and a
receiver.
❖It is the way of transmitting messages, thoughts, opinions, and view point.
❖Its purpose is to facilitate communication and learning.

Some principles of electronics media are describe below :-
• Influence society & are in turn influenced by society.
• Reach vast & large sectors of audience.
• Audience has great deal of choice.
• Communication is mostly one way process.
• Live medium.
• It is featured with more innovative methods like motion
picture and animation..
• Variety of option available and people can surf through channels to channels with
out any additional payment.
Audio visual medium that narrates the communication so easily.
• Electronics media is more accessible.
• Electronics media helps to inform, to education, to entertainment.
• High text and typography.
• It involves simultaneous communication with many people.

ADVANTAGES :
• Immediacy,
• It provides information and entertainment
• Creates awareness among people,
• It develops thoughts and ideas,
• Keep us in touch with what is happening in our society.
• Made Communication increasingly easier.
• Connect Diverse people from far and near Geographical location.
DISADVANTAGES :
• Noise pollution
• Decision Making Problems
• Laziness Occur in Youth by misuse of E-devices
• Common Diseases and complications brought by Electronic Media :
i. Eyesight Problems
ii. Exposure to Radiation which is lethally harmful to Human
Body
Conclusion :
For many years, electronic media has
taken upon itself responsibility to give people insight into what’s
happening around them. Good or bed impacts aside, media
has been an instrumental part in educating, entertaining and
informing the society for ages. The electronics media not only
provides access to information where people view or listen to
digital video, photographs, music and stories but also allows
people to produce and disseminate their creative materials to
mass audiences.
