REASONING:
Sharon has been chosen as storyboard artist because of her artistic talent, and ability to accurately
draw/describe a scene. With a background in music, as she plays the cello, piano, recorder,
ukulele, and guitar, she’d be a suitable choice for sound designer. In our first editing task of the
stalking sequence, she got the best grades and showed a lot of creativity with piecing together the
scenes, so she’s been chosen as the editor. Sharon has decided on a classical soundtrack, playing
to her strengths in the position as sound designer.
Gabby has been chosen as cinematographer as she takes photography, so she has a background
in composing a frame and using a Canon 700D (which would be used to film our opening with).
With a background in writing, writing for school publications and creatively as a hobby, she’d be
suitable for script writer. Producers require an overview of the entire project and organisation,
which she’d be good at. The rough script turned out well, although there was not any dialogue in
the film to work with, and she’s been practising using the filming setting on the 700D.
Jack works best in creative fields and has shown a lot of enthusiasm for design of the logos and
credits, so he has been chosen as the graphic designer. He’s shown a particular interest in
choosing the shots for previous projects, and understands how they affect a viewer’s interpretation
of the film , so he’s been chosen at the director of the project. Art director and production designer
ties into the role as director, as he has an overall feel for the film, and knows what props/costumes
are needed. So far, Jack has become very proficient in Adobe Aftereffects, and has made mock
ups of possible titles/logos.
