2. INTRODUCTION
Aedes aegypti in Brazil
The Aedes aegypti has been
found in more than 60 countries.
The mosquito is the main vector
for diseases as Dengue,
Chikungunyafever e Zika virus.
Since 2016 more than 300
thousand cases of these diseases
were registered in Brazil.

3. Luta contra os criadouros do mosquito
Historically the control of diseases transmitted by Aedes aegypti has been established on
efforts to reduce the mosquitoes population. These activities focuses on combat and
elimination of the opportune habitats for development of the insect larvae.
