Providing one-stop Unified Communications Integration
Businesses using IBM’s Lotus Notes or SameTime
applications can now merge the voice and collabora-
tion capabilities of the GENBAND C20 and A2 elimi-
nating the need for separate Voice and Multimedia
and collaboration clients while preserving the rich
applications integration that Notes and SameTime
provides. Working as fully integrated IP telephone
and Soft Clients at the desktop, the A2 provides a
rich set of remote working features by extending
voice capability to the user through their desktop cli-
ent when working at home or on the road.
Features
Provides access to IBM Collaboration services:
• From within Lotus Notes calendar and email
• From within Microsoft Office Applications – Outlook, Word,
Excel, SharePoint
• From within context of active call • Re-use existing Hosted Voice IP terminal from C20/A2 on
desktop
From Notes and SameTime clients, users can: • Provides a single tool for all communications
• View presence of friends
• Modify their own presence Supported Platforms
• Select and connect to a contact via click-to-call Windows XP, Vista and Windows
• Send an instant message
• Collaborate: instant message, send file, white boarding
• Handle incoming calls in real time through the soft phone with
familiar voice call controls including:
• hold, transfer, conference, call park, mute, volume control
• View incoming / outgoing call logs
• Control C20/A2 based IP telephone sets
Allows Notes or SameTime Client remote call control
of GENBAND IP phone
• Mid-call control: hold, conference, transfer, hang up
• Click-to-call from ST client initiates call on GENBAND phone
• Incoming call options: answer, ignore, reject, forward to VM
