2. COURSE OVERVIEW
Manage and prioritise time
The heart of effective time management is being able to plan and manage time on a daily and weekly
basis to achieve sales targets.
The delegate will be expected to demonstrate sound time management principles when undertaking a
range of activities including analysing time, planning use of time in the light of their objectives, prioritising
activities, delegating activities, and reflecting continuously on overall performance.
• Identify personal goals and create a timeline
• Identify targets – monthly, weekly, daily
• Analyse how time is spent and what opportunities exist for continuous improvement
• Consult manager/trainer about use of time and reflect on feedback
• Identify which periods of time are most productive and aim to make the most of them
• Identify key work-related priorities and evaluate the use of time in dealing with priority actions
• Identify where there are any anomalies in use of time
• Evaluate all tasks undertaken and eliminate unnecessary tasks that are not directly related to sales
objectives
• Develop a motivational time management plan or weekly schedule, prioritising all tasks in order of
relative importance and urgency
• Review long-term commitments and immediate goals to ensure they are on track to achieve per-
sonal goals and sales targets
