2. HOW ARE WE GOING TO HAVE THE LESSONS?
• All lessons will be held online until 4th May 2020 (tentative) depending on how
COVID-19 evolves. The 2 main platforms used for all lessons will be
• Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) via Blackboard LMS (Learning Management
System)
• MS Teams
• As agreed, we will all use BBCU as primary for lectures / tutorials / practicals
unless otherwise specified. If BBCU fails, we will use MS Teams.
• Please log in via TP LMS > ECT2004 > Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) >
“your session” at least 15 minutes earlier than time-tabled hour.
3. ABOUT LECTURES
• LECTURES will be delivered via e-Lecture mode.
• Students shall first learn through a series of lecture slides and pre-recorded lecture
videos at own pace.
• The lecturer (Mdm Chee Feng Ping) will be available on BBCU (MS Teams will be
backup) during lecture timeslot to take attendance and answer any questions
students might have.
• Students will post your questions in the chat of BBCU after they logged in.
• Please log in via TP LMS > ECT2004 > Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) > “your
lecture session” at least 15 minutes earlier than time-tabled hour.
4. ABOUT TUTORIALS
• TUTORIALS will be delivered LIVE online via BBCU.
• Please log in via TP LMS > ECT2004 > Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) > “your
tutorial session” at least 15 minutes earlier than time-tabled hour.
• Attendance will be taken once you have successfully joined the session.
• If you are late to the tutorial session, you will be marked “late”.
• If you leave the tutorial session earlier without come back before the class ends,
you will be considered as “absent”
5. ABOUT PRACTICAL
• PRACTICAL will be delivered Face-to-Face preferably when the school reopens with
lifting of COVID-19 situation. If not, it will be LIVE online via BBCU.
• If face-to-face is impossible, then we will run the practical online. Instructions will be
given then.
• Please log in via TP LMS > ECT2004 > Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) > “your
lab session” at least 15 minutes earlier than time-tabled hour.
• If you are late to the lab session, you will be marked “late”.
• If you leave the lab session earlier without come back before the class ends, you will

• The BBCU is a rich communication platform to facilitate your
e-learning experience.
• Besides MS Teams, some tutor may choose to use this
platform to conduct their e-learning experience due to some
features that could only be found in BBCU.
• To access BBCU, you will need to login to PolyMall10 mins
before your timetabled lesson.

video conferencing, sharing of files, chats are made
possible.
• This is the platform where your CP or tutors could
conduct live briefing or even e-learning. Likewise
