3. Identify time expressions related to the

We use the present perfect to describe
something that started in the past and
continues in the present.

He has taught in this school for six years.Example:
 Use the present perfect to express that
action that has repeatedly happened in the
past.

The present perfect is used:
1. To express future events
2. To express repetitive events in the past
3. To express events that usually happens.
Oops!!! Great!!!
It is 4:00 o'clock now.
•Can I say that the boy played
football in the past?
•Can I say that the boy always plays
football?
•Since the boy has started playing in
the past and is still playing….. Then
what should I say?
•How long has he played???????
•That’s right!!!!!!
