2. Introduction To People’s Commune
The people's commune was the highest of three
administrative levels in rural areas of the People's Republic
of China during the period from 1958 to 1983 when they
were replaced by townships.

3. History of people’s commune
The people's commune was established during the Great
Leap Forward, when Mao Zedong had the goal of surpassing
the United Kingdom and the United States in terms of steel
production over a short period of time.

4. Introduction to Great leap forward
The Great Leap Forward of the People's Republic of China
(PRC) was an economic and social campaign by the
Communist Party of China (CPC) from 1958 to 1962. The
campaign was led by Chairman Mao Zedong and aimed to
rapidly transform the country from an agrarian economy
into a socialist society through rapid industrialization and
collectivization.

5. Result of great leap forward
This new economy policy was intended to bring about a
simultaneous development of urban and rural economic
life to solve the problem of unemployment
