Contract chili and red rice farming
Nestlé’s chili contract farming scheme was established in Kelantan in
1995
organized to focus on increasing productivity, reduce farm costs,
minimize environmental impact and enhance farmer work safety.
Nestlé’s red rice cultivation was officially launched in October 2007
Involving 500 farmers, and covering some 350 hectares of farmland
in Sarawak’s 1st Division for Red Rice

Started as a joint venture between Transcom Limited and Nestlé
S.A, Switzerland in 1992, Nestlé Bangladesh Limited started
commercial operations in 1994 with its first factory in Sreepur.
Nestlé Bangladesh became a 100% owned subsidiary of Nestlé
S.A. in 1998.
The current product portfolio of Nestlé Bangladesh includes
Brands like NESTLÉ FRUITA VITALS, NESCAFÉ, NESTEA,
MAGGI (Noodles, Soup and Seasoning), NESTLÉ KOKO
KRUNCH, NESTLÉ MILO, NESTLÉ CORNFLAKES,
NESTLÉ COFFEEMATE, NESTLÉ EVERYDAY, NESTLÉ

21. JOURNEY OF NESTLE IN BANGLADESH
MOU: Nestle Bangladesh Limited signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Nutrition and Food
Science, Dhaka University (DU)
Recently to conduct a 'Nutrition Awareness Programme', which is
part of Nestle Healthy Kids Global Programme
Promoting breastfeeding awareness and providing livelihood to
unemployed to street vendor through initiative “Amra korbo joy.”
Recently launched pure water and sanitation program for the girls
in Satkhira district
Arranged Tree plantation by collecting 1tk from each MAGGI
noodles packet
