Why should we learn about Social Communication?
Social communication is important in order to be able to build social
relationships with other people..
Sender’s (Listener’s) response and future action depend on proper
understanding of the communication.
However it is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that his message
has been properly understood.
Sender expects certain response and reaction from the receiver
which if not met may cause distress to him.

Listening is the first skill we learned even before birth.
When we were infant our senses including listening were sharpest.
As we grow, our attention spreads and we gradually lose sharpness in our
focus on the communicator.
One of the reasons Seniors feel isolated is that they sometimes do not use the
skills of communication.aptly.
With little practice and training we can regain mastery in the skills of
