4. What is Electronic Commerce?
• Electronic Commerce (EC) is the process of
buying, selling, transferring, or exchanging
products, services, and/or information via
computer networks, mostly the Internet and
the Intranet.
5. E-Business
• A broader definition of EC that includes not
just the buying and selling of goods and
services, but also servicing customers,
collaborating with the business partners and
conducting electronic transactions within an
organization

EC can take several forms depending on the

Pure EC, because the ordering, processing and
delivery to the buyer are all digital.”
