• Have 20 years’ experience in sugar production and raw sugar refining in 5
Factories, in Egypt, Russia, Yemen, and Iraq. ,
• Professional in sugar projects starting from buildup up to process
optimization including: contracting, review the basic engineering,
construction, erection, piping , supervision and project management
services..
, also Factory start up, commissioning, process control (DCS, PLC) and
follow up of sugar production and raw sugar refining ( investment 200
million Euros),
• Experience in operating all sugar equipment such: Thermal and chemical
purification, color removing by ion exchange, Ccandle filters, press filters,
Eevaporators, Jet condensers, air condensers, Crystallization, batch
and ccontinuous centrifugal, V.C.C, Ssugar drying and Ccooling,
molasses exhaustion, tubular and plate heaters.

Job Duties
• Following up all industrial steps for sugar production according to the highest
technology to have white sugar of high quality standers with low cost
• Adjusting the mass balance and heat balance.
• Good management for the process and production team (more than 200
workers), control their performance to have good results in every production
stage to produce high quality Sugar.
• Preparing daily and annual technical reports about production process that
evaluates the process including the advantages, disadvantages, problem analysis,
process improvements
• Cooperation with all departments to keep the process line working
continuously, good to achieve the production targets.
• Follow with quality control department to have a good quality product in every
step.
• Minimizing the cost of the final product through all production steps.
• Minimize the allowable amount of losses as far as possible

departments

I Take a part is:
• Reviewing factory basic engineering including :
Factory layout - mass and heat balance –P&ID – control loops –
Modification.
• Propose a scheme for gypsum dosing system, also for chemical storage
building including equipments and control system for operation.
• Technical and price analysis for equipment tenders including: extraction
tower, juice purification equipment, ion exchangers, evaporation, factory
pump tender, plate heat exchangers, belt and screw conveyors, valves,
Also equipment for lime kiln and lime preparation, waste water
treatment.
• Ordering some equipment which fits: (high efficiency, long life, good
material, low consumption and maintenance cost, low price)
• Technical discussions with the bidders: such BMA, Putch, Venima,
Hagar –Elias, Sulzer, KSB, TMA, AMF, Inter project, GEA …etc. ,
also with the consultant (IPRO), ….etc. about their offer to achieve
good performance for all factory equipment and results

- Study Process basic engineering, the factory basic calculations, especially
mass and heat balance and the factory layout.
- Study; analyze the technical, price offer for sugar process equipment. ,
such:-extraction tower, juice purification, ion exchangers, evaporation,
vacuum pans, Centrifugal. Pulp press, heat driers, pulp pelletizing, lime
kiln and lime preparation, waste water treatment.
- Attend technical meetings and discussions with the bidders: such BMA,
Putch, Hagar –Elias, Gaudfrin, ThyssenKrupp, also with the consultant
(IPRO), .etc.
- Study some turnkey offers for the factory.
- With the whole team restudy the factory capital coast making
considerable cost minimization.
- Preparing Time schedule, main checklist ,equipment list, line list,
material list, instrument list, valve list, fitting lists,…….etc.
February 1997 - October 2007:
In Dakahlia Sugar I got experience in:
1. Supervision of dray and hot tests, Commissioning, start up, Take Over Test
(TOT)
2. Mange a production team more than 200 technician and worker our main target
is to have the highest quality product in every process stage,
3. Supervision and control all production processes using modern automatic
Control Systems such as DCS and PLC systems that help in complete
management of the process by the help of :-
a) Configure operation parameters.
b) Control loops for adjusting PH, temperature, level transmitters, pressure
transmitters, flow meters, vacuum, Brix meter, power, ampere…Etc.
c) Processes trends and tuning.
d) Sequence operation for production units like candle filters, ion
exchangers, pan boiling.
2. Beet reception, beet storage, beet washing, their equipments.
3. Preparation of beet cossets for extraction, Extraction of sugar, adjusting sugar
extraction parameters.
4. Wet pulp pressing, press pulp drying, dry pulp pressing and pelletizing.
5. Raw sugar melting, adjusting the brix and temperature of sugar melt for good
purification.
6. Sugar syrup purification (chemical, thermal) using Carbonation using CaO and
CO2 gas and use of liming and alkalinity curves in minimization of treated juice

CO2 gas.
9. Clarification of carbonated sugar syrup using flocculating agents for the
separation of Insoluble particles (CaCO3) from solutions and adjusting the
density of carbo mud to have good mud filtration.
10. Filtration of Carbo mud also phospho mud from sugar syrups using: vacuum
filters, candle filters, Press filters.
11. Ion exchangers for :
- Salt remover to eliminate the hardness of sugar syrups.
- Color remover to minimize the color of sugar syrups in sugar refining.

13. Operation of tubular and plate heat exchangers.
14. Minimization of heat consumption.
15. Sugar boiling, sugar crystallization in both patch and Continuous pans.
16. Vacuum works and both jet and air condensers.
17. Centrifugation of sugar high and low purity masscuites and adjusting the
centrifugal operation parameters to obtain high quality sugar and to adjust the
purity of white and green syrups.
18. Sugar drying and cooling to remove sugar moisture and controlling temperature
of dried sugar crystals.
