Smoking
3. SYMPTOMS
Neck swelling
Pale yellow color of body
Yellow eyes
Extreme fatigue
Mild tremor in hand
Nervousness
4. LAB STUDY
Doctors prescribed the following test:
CBC (Complete blood count)
LFTs (Liver function tests)
RFTs (Renal function tests)
TFTs (Thyroid function tests include T3, T4 and TSH)
Serum Electrolytes (Ca,Mg,K,Na,Cl)
Serum Albumin
PTH (Parathormone)
5. LAB INVESTIGATION:
CBC ( all parameter are low )
Sodium 135mmol/L Calcium 1.25mmol/L
Potassium 5.6mmol/L Chloride 105mmol/L
TSH .0002 uIU/ml
T3 30pg/mL
T4 4.26ng/dL
LFTs ( Values of SGPT,SGOT and Total bilirubin showing elevation)
RFTs ( all parameters are normal )
Serum albumin 3.83 G/dL
7. DIAGNOSIS;
Thyroid Tumor
( as per lab and radiological investigation co-relate with patients
clinical conditions it is finally diagnosis that patient suffering
from thyroid tumor)
8. TREATMENT-
After lab tests, thyroid tumor of patient removed throughout surgery as
Thyroidectomy.
9. EXAMINATION OF BIOPSY (GLAND) IN
HISTOPATHOLOGY LAB
The lobes of thyroid gland shows diffuse enlargement
Small nodule in right lobe measuring 5.0mm
Another nodule in left lobe measuring 15mm
Nodule presenting some follicular thyroid benign
and no sign of malignancy seen in specimen.
10. AFTER SURGERY
After surgery, patient suffered from another problem due to low level of
calcium and that was the extreme Fatigue and cramp.
