1. DEVELOPING A SHORT SCRIPT IDEA
Character Description: Damari, 18
Characters environment: Harrow College, Inside College
Problem: Damari, is in college, he is very antisocial, isolated in his own corner and doesn’t
really have many friends because he pushed them away. He also has bruises on his body and
face. He goes home and locks himself in his room, however someone’s starts knocking really
hard and he opens the door and his dad comes in beats him up. Next day he goes into
school and finally decides to speak to his teacher.
How he will solve the problem: By telling the teacher his father beats him
Point 1: He is lonely and depressed
Point 2: He goes home and his dad beats him again, he runs away in order to save himself.
(Solving problem)
Point 3: The next day he goes into school and decides to tell his teacher and ask for help.
(Problem solved)
Enigma: In the beginning he is running to school crying. Then the audience see that he is an
isolated character and he has bruises on his face etc.
Title: Enough
Beat 1: (the opening scene)
- He is running, fast paced, short shots to make it look very fast. He then gets to
school, break time comes and he sits on his own, people look at him differently and
he has no friends. He then goes home.
Beat 2: (Turning point)
- He goes home his father beats him, and he flips and hits his dad back his dad faints.
He runs away he is tired of this life and run away from home.
Beat 3: (Twist at the end)
- He goes into school and decides to tell someone as he is tired of being quiet and he
needs help.
