senior-level professional mariner in the U.S. Coast Guard has prepared me for a safe and secure, public
work environment and the challenges associated with unforeseen events on the water. I'm looking

coworkers and patrons.
As demonstrated in the accompanying resume, I have built a successful military career with the U.S.
Coast Guard, 11 years of which in the Chesapeake Bay/Hampton Roads area. During my 25 years of
service I've had a vast array of experiences in training crewman, but just as much experience in
working as one of the crew. I respect and understand how important teamwork is to the success of any
operation.
I offer a large knowledge of safety operations, security and technical expertise. My consistent track
record of identifying, developing and executing new ideas with positive results would serve me well
in a public waterways position. I excel at effectively handling stressful situations and managing
resources to optimize an effective outcome. As a member of the Coast Guard, I was always on the
lookout for safe practices and identifying hazards within the work environment.
