Profile
With experience and qualifications in both mechanical/aeronautical engineering and offshore operations, I
am always working to broaden my education and abilities in the oil and gas industry. I have a high drive to
work and complete tasks subjected to me. Throughout my career so far I have proved I can work under
pressure, complete tasks within given deadlines and take charge of complex operations. The leadership
qualities I have gained through the armed forces are still shown on a day to day basis and I would like to
carry over any aspects of my ability and personality to every job I commit to. My punctuality has never been
at fault and I take great pride in being organised. I have good communication skills and work well in a team

Employment History
Apache Corporation (North Sea) – July 2013 to Present day
Position – Deck Operator/Deck Team Leader/Helideck Crew
I am currently working as a deck operator on various platforms in the North Sea for Apache Corporation. My
duties include slinging and banking of loads moved by crane, assist in rigging operations, loading and
unloading of cargo from vessels, helideck operations, bulk hose operations and various other deck duties.
Safety is paramount in the offshore industry and my job requires me to uphold very high standards for
everyone’s wellbeing. Within this position I have been required to stand in as night shift deck team leader,
this includes organisation of work matrix, supervision of personnel and pre planning for the next shifts duties.
Royal Navy (Fleet Air Arm) – January 2009 to June 2013
Position – Able Rate (Aircraft Engineering Technician)
After my training I spent most of my time in the Fleet Air Arm under the Maritime Interdiction Unit for counter
terrorism, maintaining and servicing the Lynx MK 3 & MK 8 helicopter in challenging and hostile
environments. I also carried out many winching operations in different terrains, including sea and mountain
rescues. I have a vast understanding of Rolls Royce Gem turbine engines and various gearboxes. Other
duties included servicing of survival equipment, aircraft movements, aircraft refuelling and marshalling.
Northern Precision Engineering LTD – February 2005 to November 2008
Position – Trainee apprentice/CNC machinist
Northern Precision Engineering were a high profile company for design and distributing of mechanical
engineering produce. The company was made up of three sectors, oil and gas, aeronautical and medical. As
an apprentice I served in each sector gaining experience and qualification in design and producing products.
All jobs were interactive from the design all the way to the machining. I gained experience in CAD/CAM
software, Computer Numerically Controlled machine coding and operating both manual and CNC machines
including lathes, millers and industrial drills. Other duties included product fitting workshop and inspection
workshop.
