Engineer (O&M)
 Initial layout planning of sites.
 Responsible for the end to end connectivity of sites with fibre including splicing, termination, tapping of fibres
(Live fiber jointing) and testing of link with laser source, power meter, OTDR, (optical time domain
reflectometre) and handover the link to the O&M with route map, OTDR results, FMS plan, power meter and
laser source report as per the link budget.
 Preparing the work allocation schedule of vendor’s contractors.
 Co- ordination with vendors and contractor.
 Supervision for project execution (DLC,DDF ,FMS & Optical accessories)
 Supervision for project execution (Trenching, Cable/Duct laying, Copper Pulling for DLC & EDP)
 Installation of Network Element (Pillar, Sub Pillar & DP)
 Preparation of Measurement Book (MB) & As built drawing on daily Basis

 To check the integrity of ducts (40mm, 75mm), locate the blockage and rectification of

 To check the fibre requirement for blowing and work allotment to the contractors and
completion of work as per plan.
 Blowing of fibre (12F, 24F, 48F) and to resolve the problems coming at the time of blowing
along with blowing of micro and micro cable.
 Turnkey project for connectivity FTTBS Sites with OFC in UP.
 Survey for OFC route between NBB Backbone Transport & FTTBS sites.
 Site Survey of FTTBS sites for Equipment installation Planning
 Supervision of installation of SDH equipment, DDF, FMS, Power Plant and Battery.

 Project Planning, Implementation, Execution of Broadband/Baseband Network( Copper & Fiber)
Project in Kanpur City.
 Provided E1 link & checking of loop from different nodes of circuit like CT, RT, MCN & Transport
N/w.
 Laser Source Power Meter (LSPM) for optical power measurement.
 BRI line testing using BRI tester & PRI line testing using PRI tester.
 E1 Testing (BER meter testing) of both framed and unframed E1s in G.703 and V.35
environment.
 Planning the number of E1s to the Switch based on the traffic estimates.
 Use of GPS, Fundamental of SDH-PDH-STM ring & other MUXs, IDU-ODU link about I&C
 Maintain & Installation of SMPS, Battery Bank and other Power system for DLC,Cisco 3550
catalyst series switch for POTS and BIA.
