Power is willing to procure solar power from such power producers who wish to install distributed
grid connected Solar Projects in the State of Himachal Pradesh with capacities starting 50 kW up to
5 MW. The prospective promoters can avail the promotion schemes of Ministry of New &
Renewable Energy, GOI, through the State Nodal Agency, HIMURJA. HPSEBL shall purchase solar
power strictly as per Renewable Power Purchase Policy, 2015 and at the tariff fixed by HPERC.

The capacities of the projects to be allotted to the Unemployed Youths and Farmers Undre
MNRE sponsored Schemes shall vary from 0.50 MW to 5.00 MW in multiple of 100 kW
preferably near load centers/sub stations/interconnection point of HPSEBL system.
The individuals, group of individuals, NGOs, Gram Sabhas too can establish Solar Power
Projects with capacities 100 kW to 5.00 MW in multiple of 50 kW preferably near load
centers/sub stations/interconnection point of HPSEBL system.
The prospective power producers shall mention in their applications, indicative locations and
capacities, for small capacity distributed grid connected projects or larger capacities above 1
MW upto maximum of 5 MW in proximity to load centers (near major load centers and
industrial areas like Baddi, Barotiwala, Nalagarh, Kala Amb, Paonta, Dhaula Kauna,
Mehatpur, Tahliwala, Kandrori, Damtal) across the State in accordance with Solar Power
Purchase Policy.
The applications shall be received and scrutinized by HIMURJA. Ministry of New &
Renewable Energy, GOI under Central Financial Assistance will provide equity contribution
to the beneficiaries as may be admissible.
The beneficiaries who are once allotted the project under MNRE Sponsored Scheme for
unemployed youth and farmers will be given training for a period of six months by the
National Institute of Solar Energy and which will be compulsory. The cost of the training will
be borne by Govt of India.
