2. Who built the tool and when?
 Rashimi Sinha is the CEO and co-founder
of Slideshare.
 Johnathan Boutelle is the CTO and came
up with the initial idea for Slideshare.
 Amit Ranjan, COO heads to development
team in India.
 First launched October 4, 2006

3. What does the tool do?
 It is similar to YouTube, but for slideshows,
originally originally to be used for
businesses, but is now used widely for
entertainment and education.
 A site used for creating and sharing
PowerPoint presentations.

4. How much does it cost?
 Its FREE!!!

5. Instructions:
 1. Very simple sign up process.
 2. Make a PowerPoint in your Microsoft
PowerPoint program.
 3. Go back to website, click upload, choose
your power point.
 4. Teacher can make a private forum for
sharing, liking, and commenting on the
slideshows.
 5. Can also be uploaded to other websites.

6. Would this be useful in the
classroom?
 YES.
 Can be used for older student to
improve presentation and
technology skills.
 Can also be embedded into blogs for
easy to see and share information.
 Voted top 10 tools for education and
learning.

7. How would I use this in the
classroom?
 Kids can use this program
to make and share
presentations.
 Teacher can also make
presentations and post to
blog so students would
have easy, accessible way
to learn while at home.
