SlideShare is an online platform that allows users to upload and share presentations publicly or privately. It was launched in 2006 and acquired by LinkedIn in 2012, and has over 70 million users. Users can upload PowerPoint files from their computer or audio from their mp3 player to create and share presentations. Teachers can use SlideShare to upload lesson plans and instructional videos for students to view, and facilitate online discussion through the comment section.
