Overview
Thirty-plus years of varied computing experience in the design, implementation and modification of
either standalone or network computer systems in both the public and private sector. A versatile,
multi-disciplined independent consultant for a number of years whose work included the following:
2013-present: Allen Memorial Home-Mobile, AL: Conduct annual update of resident profiles to comply with State law.
2010-Swift Oil & Gas Company-Houston, TX: IT Buyer for British Petroleum Company clean-up program at Mobile, AL
center.
2009-GCMLP Pilot Program- Mobile, AL: Consultant for development of medical-legal project to assist low-income
families with children to obtain medical or legal assistance beyond that normally provided through public agencies.
2006-2007-Erin Stacy LLC-Mobile, AL: Drafted proposal to provide business continuity planning services for all new
businesses locating within the Mobile area and worked with the Mobile County Emergency Agency (MCEMA) to enhance
its capabilities to provide emergency management services.
1996-2004-Northrop Grumman Information Technology (MSED): served as an Information Systems Technician 3 in
troubleshooting a poorly implemented federal program to ensure the continuity of operations for the Department of
Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) system worldwide (28 locations) in the event of an interruption of
service due to either natural or manmade causes. Trained to use the STROHL Living Disaster Recovery Planning
System (LDRPS) [Oracle/SQL] to collect, collate and manipulate critical information to support disaster recovery
operations at DFAS centers. Trained end-users to develop and implement disaster recovery plans. This included
software installation, report generation, developing and conducting plan recovery exercises, plan data maintenance and
evaluations. (Received certification in Business Continuity Planning)
1996-Dravo, Inc-Maysville, KY: Helped develop a FoxPro database to capture and disseminate mining production raw
material input and output for inventory control purposes. Formatted and generated daily and cyclical reports to capture
the data.
1994-1996-Warranty Corp.-Mobile, AL: System engineer – Migrated an existing Q&A database system to multiple DOS-
FoxPro relational databases to enhance growth capability and data management efficiency. The application was menu-
driven and contained a full complement report system to summarize all user and management activity. (Helped manage
the Novell LAN 3.1)
1993-1994-Liberty Lloyd’s Underwriting, Inc.-Gretna, LA: Served as programmer analyst to debug their insurance
premium program that used a FoxPro to enhance operating efficiency. Devised an application module to track cash flow
and improve accounting management. Analyzed workflow and developed program modules to reduce manual data entry
functions for users. Modified data entry screens and developed user manuals. Served as the NOVELL LAN
Administrator
1991-1993-LSU Medical Center-New Orleans, LA: Worked with multiple clients providing customized databases and
spreadsheets. Also developed local area networks and provided training and training documents. Developed a blood
glucose analyzer application.

1988-1990-Security Homestead Federal Savings Bank-New Orleans, LA: Served as technical operations supervisor
and offsite liaison for the computer services bureau. Responsibilities included troubleshooting network computer
problems, installing/maintaining/upgrading all personal computer hardware/software (JCL using C, SPSS) for 15 branches
of the bank. Developed LOTUS and dBase applications that supported accounts payable, inventory management, asset
depreciation, amortization schedules and supply processing. Conducted training seminars for all bank personnel. Also
installed telecommunications equipment and software to support branch American Express Travelers Cheque purchases.
1986-1987-Dixie Savings & Loan Asso.-New Orleans, LA: Provided customized mainframe peripheral support (JCL
using Bancstar) for branch teller and lending operations. Formatted a critical report to support new generations of
requests. Replaced manual routines with application programs to record human resources data. Drafted new job
descriptions and provided new salary range parameters. Developed a LOTUS application to track salary adjustments for
over 500 personnel and to determine optimal staffing conditions for 23 branches to reduce overtime.
1983-1985-Office of Enterprise Zone Development-Prichard, AL: Supported the City of Prichard, AL in drafting
municipal enterprise zone legislation. Compiled information on all incoming revenue sources to develop a model based
upon other projects identified throughout the country. Counseled Small Business Administration loan applicants,
conducted industrial market surveys and provided public relations support. Instituted a word processing program for the
office.
1981-Office of Alabama Senator Howell Heflin, U.S. Senate-Washington D.C.: Served as legislative intern to the
senator’s staff, conducting research on pending legislative issues.
1980-1981-One America Inc.-Washington, D.C.: Compiled a nationwide directory of organizations participating in
resource recovery for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Municipal Waste Program.
