5. • The engraving machine shown in Figure uses two drive motors and associated lead
screws to position the engraving scribe in the X direction. A separate motor is used
for both the Y- and Z-axes, as shown:

• Advantages of Proportional Controller:
1-Proportional controller helps in reducing the steady state
error, thus makes the system more stable.
2-Slow response of the over damped system can be made
faster with the help of these controllers.
