• The location is a city, similar to
New York and I am hoping to
use this as intertexualtiy by
using shots in my music video
of New York City
• The artists name
• This is bold and simplistic,
directly in the middle of the
screen.

3. • Lighting and props
• The use of fairy lights is a
similar idea that I intend to
achieve with my own music
video.

4. • Close-up shots of the artist
• This fulfils Andrew Goodwin’s
theory of music videos in
which there are ‘notions of
looking’ where the artist looks
directly into the camera.

5. • Effects and editing
• The effects and editing used
such as overlay helps engage
the audience and I intend to
use similar techniques to the
best of my ability in my own
post-production.

6. • Range of locations
• Although the majority of the
music video is set in a city
location, there are also scenes
that are a little more sub-
urban.
