Tutor 2005-2009 (While in college)
I have a deep passion for people. And while I was in college I had the
great opportunity to work with this great organization. On Saturday
mornings I would travel to Buffalo to work with refugee families. We
mostly sat with the children and helped them do homework and learn
English. But we also worked with adults to not only learn English but
learn life skills. These skills included everything from learning English,
how to clean a bathroom, and also how to dress for a job interview. I
learned so much about myself during this time and was enriched to give
the knowledge of things that I take for grated to help enrich the lives of
others.
