This is a recommendation and a character reference for Elisa Locati, who has worked as a translator in my team for
the past two years. I interviewed and selected Elisa as an English­Italian translator for the Organization for
Transformative Works in February 2014. She has since been an active and engaged part of a large language team,
and reports directly to me while serving in this position.
Elisa is highly self­motivated and a good communicator, with strong language skills that allow for both translating and
editing translations and active discussion in an international and diverse group. She is a skilled team player even in
situations where conflicts or disagreements arise, and self­aware and open about both her own strengths and
weaknesses and her team's. She consistently meets deadlines and communicates effectively about progress on her
ongoing tasks, making her a very reliable member of the team. She has always responded quickly and efficiently to
rush assignments when they were necessary, making it possible for me to depend on her in case of last­minute
emergencies.
