To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter as a character reference for Megan DiFelice, whom I
have known for the past four years as an academic learner and high performance
athlete. I have taught and coached Ms. DiFelice for the past four years during her
time at St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School, and as such feel that I can confidently act
as a character reference for this exceptional student.
During Ms. DiFelice’S four years at St. Joan she has demonstrated strong
leadership, effective and efficient skills in communication and application of those
skills both academically and athletically. I had the pleasure to teach Ms. DiFelice
during her senior year and found her to be astute, hardworking and willing to take
ownership of her learning to take her to the next level. She is a courteous, well-
mannered young lady, who effectively demonstrates leadership while tackling
difficult and high-pressure situations.
Ms. DiFelice is also a high performance athlete, who during her four years on
the Track and Field team has brought her relay team to the regional championships
where she was a contender for the Ontario Provincial Championships (OFSSA). Her
excellent athletic abilities, communication and leadership skills allowed for a high
performance during her years on the team and thus demanded the same level of
dedication and commitment from her fellow peers.
Academically, Ms. DiFelice contributed effectively in classroom debates,
discussions or interpretations on challenging scriptural texts. Her insight and
preparedness for these discourses have set her apart as an analytical thinker who
can synthesize and connect difficult concepts to make them understandable in
various forms. Ms. DiFelice dedication to excellence in academics was evident in her
research, written and/or communicated for various audiences. She is a self
conscious, self-assured student who contributes effectively and always strives for
excellence.
