It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Yelena Tyukayenko. As the Learning
Analyst for Pacific Charter Institute, my acquaintance with Yelena was with her serving in the capacity of the
CTE Coordinator for Heritage Peak Charter School. A program which she assisted in building from the ground
floor.
Within the 2 ½ years that I had the opportunity to work with Yelena, she always displayed the qualities that
you would want to see in a valued employee. Her decisions were always based on students first. She
displayed the ability to communicate effectively particularly when the ‘tough’ decisions had to be made.
Yelena is also very inclusive in the decision making processes which creates equity and fairness for those
involved which displays her ability to communicate effectively and be a team player. This was apparent in
her ability to hold students to a high bar that demanded their best efforts.
Another highly sought after quality that Yelena models is that of her work ethic. She is willing to go the extra
mile where many would not. She has modeled the willingness to take on extra duties or plan for an extended
activity without merit. She assisted our Counseling department with marketing and outreach to the Russian
and Ukrainian community using her bi-lingual skills effectively to both recruit and assist parents and students
in navigating the educational system. Yelena’s unselfishness is an attribute that she served others and will
continue to display a ‘servant’s attitude in any program she is associated to.
Finally, the character trait that I believe is Yelena’s greatest attribute is integrity. Yelena does what she says
and says what she does. She is able to be no-nonsense when needed and can balance that with an always
positive ‘can do’ attitude. Today’s most valued employees must possess integrity above all else and Yelena
provided this at all times. This is what made working with Yelena a pleasure as her Supervisor. I knew I could
count on her and her word as well as work ethic.
I whole heartedly recommend Mr. Yelena Tyukayenko for any educational position that she would desire. She
will be a great asset to any district or school that has the benefit of her service. Please do not hesitate to
