1. WATER INJECTION
In a fully exploited oil field, the wells can be drilled at a distance of between 50 and 500 meters, depending
on the nature of the deposit. If water is pumped into one out of every two wells, the reservoir pressure as a
whole can be maintained or even increased. This can also increase the rate of crude production; In addition,
water physically displaces oil, thus increasing recovery efficiency. In some tanks with a high degree of
uniformity and a low content of clay or mud, flooding with water can increase the recovery efficiency until
reaching 60% or more of the existing oil. The injection of water was introduced for the first time in the oil
fields of Pennsylvania in the late nineteenth century, more or less accidentally and since then has spread
