CAREER OBJECTIVES
I am an Interior Designer with over 30 years continuous experience in small and large Commercial, Residential,
Hospitality and Retail Projects.
Experienced in all parts of the design phases from involvement in design development, leading in-house teams for
the production, co-ordination and managing design documentation through coordinating all the different consultants
to make sure all the requirements of the project are completed.
On-site duties include answering RFI’s, liaison with project managers and builders and inspections ensuring that the
design intent is met at the completion of the project.

Working at Gray Puksand (Brisbane) on various commercial office fitouts.
However, my main client is the RACQ (Royal Automobile Club of Queensland), where we recently completed three
major refurbishments at two sites.
GrayPuksand was engaged to deliver spaces for the Finance and Marketing Departments (Eight Mile Plain) and new
Call Centre (Brisbane City) that incorporated approximately 100% of the Design Guidelines that had been
formulated for the RACQ refurbishment rollout. Collaborative client team and design workshops were conducted to
ensure the key business drivers were met and to ensure a seamless change management strategy was
implemented into the new workspace.
The design incorporated several new features from the Design Guidelines including:
- New style collaborative spaces,
- Sit-to stand electric and manual workstations,
- Feature carpet tiles and timber feature battens and,
- New Executive Suite Office Desk
Responsibilities included:
• Supervising the activities of interior designers and detailers to ensure the proper interpretation of project briefs and
client requirements, development of designs,
• Preparation of space allocation programmes for new building designs.
• Preparation of sketch layouts and details for finalization by interior designers/detailers.
• Selection and specification of materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Ensuring that the interior design is properly coordinated with the requirements of other design disciplines.
• Ensuing the completeness and quality of the output of interior design team.
• Ensuring that work is prepared and completed in accordance with established project design schedules.
• Supervision of interior design construction works.

Relocated to the Gold Coast in December 2014 and worked on a contract basis with ML Design Brisbane and
ML Design Melbourne on a diverse range of projects – office fitouts and apartment buildings in Melbourne and
apartment and hospitality projects for the Brisbane office.

coordination/integration of mechanical and electrical services.

COMMERCIAL OFFICE FITOUTS
RACQ, Eight Mile Plain and Brisbane City.
Total refurbishment of 1100sq/m for the Finance and Marketing Departments at Eight Mile Plain for 188 key staff.
The fitout incorporated 100% of the Design Guidelines developed as part of the new Change Management Strategy,
incorporated the new workstation and office layouts.
EXXON MOBIL, Altona. Victoria
Total fitout and building refurbishment for the Victorian State Office at Kororoit Creek Road, Altona incorporating
2,000m² of building and accommodation for 200 staff. The facility incorporates 2 levels of commercial office space
with associated ancillary facilities including a state of the art staff room and conference facilities.
OPTUS VISION , Preston, Victoria
Total fitout and building refurbishment for the Victorian State Office at Chifley Drive, Preston incorporating 6,000m²
of building and accommodation for 300 staff. The facility includes a complete training centre and customer enquiry
and counter services.
TAC OFFICE, Geelong, Victoria
Responsible for all interior design options and FFE layouts for TAC.
The design solutions for this project included both public and commercial (office) spaces which incorporated a range
of selection criteria.

HOSPITALITY PROJECTS
Hope Island Clubhouse, Gold Coast. Qld
The 7,300m2 clubhouse was designed to respond to a complex client brief providing functional elements similar to a
boutique hotel, including all back of house and servicing. It is reminiscent of a Mediterranean/Venetian theme which
was established for the entire integrated resort of Hope Island.
The clubhouse, as part of a championship golf course, provides a range of activities including fine dining, function
rooms, members bars, pro-shop, change and bathing facilities and basement car parking. The interiors reflect a
resurgence of the arts and crafts incorporating lavish designs of mosaic tiled floors, fountains, detailed handrails,
columns and other architectural features.

Design and documentation of back of house facilities for the new restaurant at Melbourne Central.
Deer Park Club, Deer Park, Victoria
Re-development and upgrade of existing Gaming Facilities.
Duties included consultations with client, design and documentation of all joinery, internal elevations, material
selection, production of all schedules, attendance at consultants meetings and co-ordination with Architectural
drawings.

Re-development and upgrade of existing Gaming Facilities. Duties similar to Deer Park Club Project.

Redevelopment of existing centres incorporating the sports centres into major regional sports & aquatic facilities.
A full range of interior design services was provided including material and finishes selections and cost analysis to
recommend the appropriateness of these options. The selection of materials needed to display cost-effective
solutions for durability and robustness.

RETAIL PROJECTS
Australia Fair Shopping Centre – Southport, Qld
Duties included consultations with client and consultants, design and documentation of all public areas including
internal elevations, material selection, production of all schedules, attendance at consultants meetings and co-
ordination with Architectural drawings.
David Jones – Food Hall, Melbourne
In conjunction with Davenport Campbell, and after five months of renovations, the food hall reopened 20 per cent
larger, occupying 1600 square metres of floor space, with seven eateries, including a wine and oyster bar, a noodle
and sushi bar and a cheese and antipasto bar.
Cellini Fine Silver Jewellery, Block Arcade. Melbourne
A compact, boutique Workshop and shop front in the heart of the historic Block Arcade. Special consideration was
given to the selection of materials, lighting and the orientation of showcases to highlight the exquisiteness of the 19th
century shopping arcade.
Pearl Kamyama. Marina Mirage. Gold Coast.
A 150 sqm premier Pearl store specializing in Cultured Japanese pearls. It required a unique and elegant solution to
an irregularly shaped space. The result reflected the pearlescent nature of the product being displayed.
EDUCATION PROJECTS
St. Andrew’s Christian College – Knox, Victoria
ML Desgin was involved in the masterplanning of the new campus for St. Andrew’s College at Know.
The first stage of the works was the new gymnasium and music centre, the second stage was the Senior Year
Building.
Duties included: Selection of all interior and external finishes.
