Έρευνα των μαθητών του ΓΕΛ Ακρωτηρίου για τη στάση μας σε σχέση με το νερό και την ανάγκη προστασίας του.

INVESTIGATION-SAVE WATER!

2. Water is precious
Are we aware of that?

3. The participants in the Erasmus exchange program
from our school have carried out a research
concerning water conservation.

4. The research was based on a questionnaire
which was posted on internet and was
answered by 25 students (17 girls - 8 boys)
who took part in the program.

5. Aim:
to raise awareness about the domestic use of
water
in order:
•to preserve natural resources
•to meet every household demand.

both students and their families are significantly
informed and sensitized and they avoid wasting water.

12. Attitude towards general management of
water resources

14. The majority of students never collects rainwater
while only few of them collect the water running
from the shower until it is completely heated up
It seems that the general management of water
resources is not taken seriously into consideration
maybe because of the lack of education on
environmental issues.

15. As far as personal pleasure and luxury is concerned:
56% would rather have a swimming pool or grass even if
they both demand huge quantities of water.
Τhere are still people who act irresponsibly towards
environmental issues, despite public campaigns against the
overconsumption of water.

17. Another worth mentioning result is the lack of
information as well as the insufficient knowledge we
have, regarding that valuable natural source.

20. It is our belief that if there were more educational
programs for both students and citizens and campaigns
concerning the rational use of water, our attitude would
change for the better.
We honestly hope that our program will also have an
impact on students’ attitude so as to secure water
supplies for future generations.
