What is the WorkingAge project?

Context:
o Research and innovation project receiving funding from
the European Union’s Horizon 2020
Objective:
o Develop a virtual assistant for promoting safer and
healthier habits
o Provide personalised assistance by using data from
sensors and detection devices
Target group & pilots:
o People over 45 years old, at work & daily life
o Work environments: Manufacturing, Office, Teleworking

o Help identify potentially harmful
conditions
o Example:
o Camera allows to track body
posture
o Identify potentially harmful posture
o A notification will inform the user
with recommendations to reduce
the risk.

About the WAOW 112 service

What does it do?
o Automatically launches a call to 112
o Provides accurate location and user information to the
correct emergency Answering Point
How is it triggered?
E112 triggered by the smartphone application either:
o Automatically triggered by the WAOW tool in case of
health incident detection
o Manually triggered by the user
How are E112 data collected by the
WOAW tool ?

What is the WorkingAge project? 2 Context: o Research and innovation project receiving funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Objective: o Develop a virtual assistant for promoting safer and healthier habits o Provide personalised assistance by using data from sensors and detection devices Target group & pilots: o People over 45 years old, at work & daily life o Work environments: Manufacturing, Office, Teleworking
  • 3. 3 o Multiple sensors & measuring devices o Help identify potentially harmful conditions o Example: o Camera allows to track body posture o Identify potentially harmful posture o A notification will inform the user with recommendations to reduce the risk. ! X ! ✓ Example: preventing risk

What happens in case of an emergency? 4 Rationale: o Tracking emergencies is not a main objective o WorkingAge uses a rich data set to provide recommendations o It includes health, medical and location data o Is this data useful to emergency responders? About the WAOW 112 service 5 What does it do? o Automatically launches a call to 112 o Provides accurate location and user information to the correct emergency Answering Point How is it triggered? E112 triggered by the smartphone application either: o Automatically triggered by the WAOW tool in case of health incident detection o Manually triggered by the user
  • 6. How are E112 data collected by the WOAW tool ? 6 Heart rate measured by a wristband Location from the router or the smartphone Additional data on the user (name, surname, phone number, spoken langage) The WOAW application installed on the smartphone collects all these data in real time

How is the User location computed? 7 Case 1: User inside router’s range Wifi Router Routers dispatched at fixed locations in the worker building and positionned o Latitude / Longitude o Dispatchable location: address, floor number, office/open space number Case 2: User outside router’s range Position of the Wifi router Fused Android Position computed by the smartphone &
