Charlie describes his experience participating in French Day at school. He wore French-themed clothing and accessories. For breakfast, he ate croissants and hot chocolate in the dining hall decorated with French flags. In class, Charlie's class was featured in a video speaking French menus, which was embarrassing. During math class, also taught in French, Charlie answered 12 out of 15 questions correctly. After activities like table tennis, D.T. class, and French games like Kloo and dominoes, Charlie scored 3 goals in football before the end of the day.

My Report on French Day

On French Day we all dress up like French people and we do lots of French
activities. I wore a beret and a garlic necklace around my neck and a striped T- shirt.
The day started as I walked into school there were French flag
banners all over the amphitheatre. I walked into the dining hall
because I was having French breakfast. As I walked in I was
greeted by the kitchen staff who were dressed up too and I went
and sat down next to Max .Then we went to get our breakfast, I
had a croissant and a raisin croissant, we took our plates down
to our places and went back up to get our hot chocolate .Once
we had got them we sat down and ate it all, it was yummy!!
After breakfast we went up to class for the other children had already lined up and
gone in. When we got to class we discovered we were going to have a French
assembly so we walked down to the hall and sat down .The next thing that happened
was Madame Couture showed the whole school a video of my class saying a menu
in French, it was really embarrassing!
Then we had maths which was in French too, Mr Whitby asked us some hard
questions- mostly because they were in French. I got 12 out of the 15 possible points
and only Milly got 15 out 15! Then Mr Whitby asked us what some mathematical
terms are in French, lots of them were really hard but some weren’t because they
were cognates.
After maths we had break, I played table tennis and was king for the longest! Then
we came inside and did D.T, I am making a big wheel!
After D.T we had our French activity, I played Kloo, flip it and dominoes. My favourite
was dominoes by far because I kept on winning, also the dominoes were triangles so
there were 3 ways to match them up!
Then we had games and I scored 3 goals in football.
