The analogy I'll be using for this discussion is the toll booth analogy. It can actually be applied to both series and parallel circuits, but I'll only address the former now. In this analogy, traffic represents current and a toll booth represents resistors (or resistance). Imagine traffic flowing on a busy highway and the highway authority adds a toll booth. The flow rate would slow down as drivers have to stop or slow down to pay the toll. The same can be said for current as it passes through a resistor. In a series circuit, with each subsequent resistor, resistance increases and the flow rate slows. If more toll booths are continuously added in a series, the "resistance" would increase as the traffic continues to back up with each subsequent toll booth added. Power flow studies provide a systematic mathematical approach for determination of various bus voltages, there phase angle, active and reactive power flows through different branches, generators and loads under steady state condition. In this paper, the purpose of power flow analysis is to determine four bus system power flows. Case studies have been performed on Lawpita Taungoo Kamarnat Hlawga 230kV Line Myanmar . This paper presents a reliable method to meet the requirements by developing a Newton Raphson based load flow calculation program through which control setting of Shunt Compensator can be determined directly. This program computes the voltage magnitude and angle at each bus in a power system under balanced steady state conditions. Real and reactive power flows for all buses, as well as line flow and line losses, are also computed. And then the compensation of shunt capacitor is proposed for load flow analysis and also for overall loss minimization and improvement in system voltage profile. Non-linear load in the distribution system has caused negative impact to its power quality especially on harmonic distortion. Charging Station (CS) is a non-linear load that widely promoted with the aim to support the continuous usage of Electric Vehicle (EV). This research is focusing on optimal placement and sizing of multiple passive filter to mitigate harmonic distortion due to CS usage at distribution system. There are 6 units of CS which being placed in low voltage buses which indirectly will inject harmonic to the system during charging. Power system harmonic flow, passive filter, CS, battery and the analysis will be model in MATLAB. Multi-objective function which are weight summation approach (WSA) and Pareto Front are used to assist meta heuristic technique which is Modified Lightning Search Algorithm (MLSA) to identify optimum location and sizing of passive filter based on improvement on propose five parameters. From the result, the optimal placements and sizing of passive filter able to reduce the maximum Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) for voltage, current and apparent losses respectively. Therefore, the propose method is suitable to reduce harmonic distortion as well as apparent losses at distribution system with present of CS.

Harmonic currents can originate from systems that do not contain energy and in which the sign of the current matches that of the voltage throughout the cycle (e.g. a phase-angle controller for an incandescent lamp). The term ‘wattless current’ is sometimes applied to harmonic currents that do not have substantial voltage harmonics of the same orders to multiply them. The result is a product of current and voltage that is zero. Those harmonic currents have a lot in common with reactive currents: * They are both undesirable in that they require part of the capacity of generators, cables, and transformers, while contributing nothing to the generation and transport of electrical energy. * They both cause additional losses—because the voltage drop is phase-related to the current so the product is real and non-zero. * Harmonics originate mostly from the power-consuming load and flow back to the energy source, against the normal energy flow (Figure 1). (An exception is a renewable energy source connected to the grid by a power electronic converter where the harmonics flow away from the source.) Fundamental reactive power does not have a defined direction—intake of inductive reactive power is synonymous with output of capacitive reactive power and vice versa. It should therefore be possible to combat both reactive power and harmonics by similar means. This is indeed the case. This publication explains how it can be accomplished effectively and how dedicated filters can be created for individual frequencies. In addition to the general principles and guidelines, this paper tackles the importance of using high-quality components for accurate filter tuning. It discusses whether to compensate centrally or dispersed, and how to choose the inductor for a given L/C ratio. Finally, it warns that special caution must be taken to (i) prevent the filtering out of sound frequencies used by utilities, and (ii) that despite filtering, harmonics should still be taken into account for rating cables and equipment.

FedEx has a culture that demonstrates to its employees and customers how much they are valued. FedEx prioritizes service, people, honesty, innovation, responsibility, safety, and loyalty (FedEx, 2019). FedEx understands the importance of a positive work environment and a strong corporate culture in order to achieve operational success and provide excellent customer service. As a result, FedEx has implemented a "People-Service-Profit strategy" (P-S-P) and continues to promote a high-performance culture. (FedEx, 2019). Frederick Smith, the company's current CEO and founder, came up with this idea because he believed that investing in employees would result in better work and, as a result, financial success. This philosophy emphasizes the importance of treating employees with respect and dignity, as well as rewarding team members based on how well they perform their duties. FedEx believes that its employees are the best way to make big decisions, and it attributes its success to its innovative culture. Because service providers' employees are the ones who directly interact with customers, this philosophy is especially important in the service industry. Training, giving employees power, and providing incentives are all critical in a company whose culture is based on this philosophy (Peoplematters, 2019). There is a list of awards and recognition programs on the main website, including "The Humanitarian Award," "The Five Star," "Bravo Zulu," and "Purple Promise" (FedEx, 2019). A five-star rating is the highest you can achieve at FedEx. The manager gives the staff theater tickets and quick cash bonuses in the form of Bravo Zulu. 1. The analogy I'll be using for this discussion is the toll booth analogy. It can actually be applied to both series and parallel circuits, but I'll only address the former now. In this analogy, traffic represents current and a toll booth represents resistors (or resistance). Imagine traffic flowing on a busy highway and the highway authority adds a toll booth. The flow rate would slow down as drivers have to stop or slow down to pay the toll. The same can be said for current as it passes through a resistor. In a series circuit, with each subsequent resistor, resistance increases and the flow rate slows. If more toll booths are continuously added in a series, the "resistance" would increase as the traffic continues to back up with each subsequent toll booth added.
