4. INTRODUCTION
The study of eye,ear,nose & throat related disorders and their
treatment is called Shalakyatantra in Ayurveda and Otorinolaryngology
in Modern Science.
The larynx commonly called the voice box, is an organ in the top of the
neck involved in breathing, producing sound and protecting the
trachea against food aspiration.

Shalakyatantra is related with sensory organs,still is the
most neglected branch in Ayureda.
We need to understand properly the need of it as most of
the patients comes with ENT related common complaints
in Clinic.
Can do specialization in ENT (M.S. Shalakyatantra) after
Graduation.
Can practice as ENT specialization in maharashhtra.
Can do surgery i.e minor ENT surgeries,tonsillectomy,
septoplasty,tympanoplasty,laryngeal surgery etc.
