CURRENT JOB
Currently I am the director of the largest banking Academy in the country. We train
annually about 18,000 bank officers of the largest public and private sector banks in
the country. This is a one year ‘on campus residential program’ and banks like
ICICI, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, IDBI Bank.
Syndicate Bank, Kotak Mahindra, Axis Bank, Andhra Bank, Federal Bank, RBL
bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Bank have been sending officers on select, train,
hire and deploy model. We also train short term specialist bank officers, NBFC and
Micro finance institutions.

EXPERIENCE
2011 onwards
 As Director of the Banking Academy (since 2011) I have been helping the business
to grow from one client (ICICI bank, Revenue Rs 25 crores) to about 35 banks in
less than 5 years (Revenue FY 16-17 - 215 crores) . The job involves discussing with
the client to assess the job profile of the bank officers, determining the training
requirement, developing the course content, selection of faculty, training of faculty,
delivering the training and post training assessment. The Job also involves managing
220 faculty, and a host of support executives and outsourced employees...
 Key Acheivements as Director of Manipal Academy of Banking:
o One BFSI client in 2011 to 35 BFSI client in 2016 (B2B)
o One Product delivered in 2011 to more than 75 products developed and
delivered as per client requirement in 2016.
o Post Pre –Sales, manage client to understand requirement develop the
product and deliver
o Increase existing annual run rate Business (800 Learners in 2011 to 6800
learners) in the flagship program and Mining of existing client for new
business.
o .Develop and deliver short term program as a new vertical (current year
12000 learners) – High end domain and functional program like credit,
Treasury, Trade finance, Recovery management, Stressed Asset
Management, First Time Branch Managers.
o Developed on a pilot basis a blended delivery (Online + Webinar + F2F) for
credit Managers of a Bank.
o Developed and delivered successfully a one year program for Abu Dhabi
Commercial Bank.
o Final Phase of delivery for May bank Malaysia. - Identify competency
requirement for Branch Managers of May Bank, Develop instruments for
mapping the competency of the branch managers, Identify competency gaps
and TNA, develop and deliver training.
o Worked closely with 5 Small finance banks who received license to train the
existing and new employees for managing the operations of the bank.
o Working with two banks to completely takeover and manage the Learning
and development of the bank.
2010 -11
 As Dean and Director of M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Management (2010 - 2011). I was
required to provide a direction in development as well as academic growth. I am

institute to manage the change for growth.

I was also required to provide strategic direction and a blue print of actions to be

 As Professor & Head (2004 -2008), JSS Centre for Management Studies, Sri
Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore since December 8, 2004.
 As Professor (1999-2004) at JSS Centre for Management Studies, Sri
Jayachamarajendra college of Engineering as Professor in Finance Area. Subjects
taught are Risk management, corporate finance, Security Analysis and portfolio
management.
 Ten years teaching experience (as visiting faculty along with my assignment
with Manikya Plastichem Ltd) at the Department of Post Graduate studies and
Research in Management Science, University of Mysore (from 1986 to 1996)
-currently known as Bahadur Institute of Management. Subject taught was Finance
area, Accounting and Economics.
 Two Years (1988-90) teaching experience (as visiting faculty) at Sri
Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering for Master of Engineering Management
(M.Tech-management).

 Head of the profit centre for south and western India as Vice President of the
Rs.1,500 Crores Pioneer Polyfab Ltd., Calcutta.
1984 - 1998
 Worked as General Manager (Marketing) at M/s. Manikya Plastichem Ltd., Mysore
(started the career as sales officer and rose through the ranks to head the marketing
department as its General Manager).
Job Responsibilities at Pioneer Polyfab and Manikya Plastichem include:
• Leading a team of professional sales force comprising of Mechanical Engineers,
Chemical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Agriculture Engineers and M.B.A.'s
• Developing the industrial market for transportation of chemicals, gas, undersea
piping projects for disposal of effluents, and sea water intake system. The job
here is identifying the project, negotiating with consultants, architects, project
promoters, contractors on technical and commercial aspects of the project
• Project Management – handling design supply, fabrication, erection and testing
and commissioning of water supply, waste water and effluent disposal pipelines,
Selection and managing of sub-contractors.
• Manage sales volume, profit and cash flow of all branches.
• Dealer development for agriculture and domestic market.
• Dealer development and exploring new market for Sprinkler Irrigation and Drip
irrigation Systems.

c. Capacity Building for Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWWSSB) – an
Australian Aid project - to enable BWSSB for private sector participation including
change management for private sector participation.
d. World Bank Project – Identification of Capacity Building needs among stakeholders in
the Karnataka Integrated Rural Water Supply & Environmental Sanitation Project (job
involved visiting project villages, analyzing the capacities required for stakeholder
participation in sector reforms – Planning level, strategic level and grass root level -
identifying current capacities of stakeholders, identifying training needs, interventions
and methodologies.

The job involves discussing with the client to assess the job profile of the bank officers, determining the training requirement, developing the course content, selection of faculty, training of faculty, delivering the training and post training assessment.
