2. 1. High LpA- LpA is a large lipoprotein particle made by the liver. High levels
increase risk for atherosclerosis (build up of fatty deposits in the wall of the
artery, also called atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease or CVD) including
coronary heart disease (blockages in heart arteries) or heart attack,
peripheral vascular disease (PAD, blockages in the leg arteries), aortic
stenosis (damage to the aortic valve of the heart), thrombosis (blood
clots) and stroke (blockages in the neck arteries).
Target LpA level for you- 17-20 mg/dL
2. High Homocysteine- Homocysteine is an amino acid that is an intermediate
in the production of two other amino acids, methionine and cysteine.
Although homocysteine is naturally present in our bodies, too much
homocysteine in the blood is responsible for an increased risk of
Cardiovascular diseases, including venous thrombosis, atherosclerosis
,high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and stroke.
Target Homocysteine levels for you- 10- 12 mcmol/L
3. Low total Testosterone- Testosterone is a male sex hormone (androgen)
that helps male features develop. Testosterone is made in the testes and
the adrenal glands. Most of the testosterone in your blood attaches to 2
proteins: albumin and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). Some
testosterone is not attached to proteins, or free.
Target total testosterone for you- 6800-7200 pg/mL
4. Low Free Testosterone- Free testosterone and albumin-bound testosterone
are also referred to as bioavailable testosterone. This is the testosterone
that is easily used by body. Low free testosterone causes loss of muscle
mass, infertility and also other metabolic diseases.
Target free testosterone for you- 25-28 pg/mL
5. Low Omega 3 index- The Omega-3 Index test is a measure of the amount
of EPA and DHA in the blood, specifically the red blood cell membranes.
Low Omega-3 Index means risk for heart disease, elevated blood pressure,
suboptimal brain function, increased likelihood for major depression, and
other health issues. The omega 3 index is the most important indicator of
cardiovascular health. The levels of less than 4 % indicate high risk of heart
attack.
Target Omega 3 index for you - 9 %
