This study examined the relationship between institutional culture types (collegium, bureaucracy, enterprise, corporate) and faculty perceptions of online learning in chiropractic higher education. Surveys were administered to faculty at 6 chiropractic institutions to assess institutional culture and perceptions of online learning. Results found that faculty at bureaucracy-type institutions had more negative perceptions, while those at enterprise-type institutions had more positive perceptions. The study recommends that bureaucracy institutions transition to more of an enterprise culture to improve perceptions of online learning. Female, non-white, and full-time faculty expressed higher perceptions of online learning.
