This certificate of appreciation recognizes Sidney E. Goodfriend for successfully completing the Veteran & Spouse Mentoring Program in 2019 run by ACP. The certificate was signed by Dr. Keyonda Smith, the program leader and mentor, and awarded to Sidney E. Goodfriend for his dedication and enthusiasm in the program.
This document discusses the relationship between Johne's disease (JD) in cattle and Crohn's disease (CD) in humans. JD is caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) bacteria and causes intestinal lesions in cattle. Some researchers believe MAP may also cause CD in humans. Both diseases cause inflammation of the ileum and have similar symptoms. While pasteurization kills many MAP bacteria, some may survive and infected cows' milk or meat could potentially transmit the disease to humans. The geographic distributions of JD and CD overlap in some areas. More research is needed to conclusively determine whether MAP is an etiological agent of CD in humans.

This research proposal aims to compare student perceptions of online versus on-campus course equivalency and performance outcomes in an acupuncture theory course. A quantitative research design will collect data on student perceptions using a survey, as well as course grades, interactions, and evaluations. The study hypothesizes no significant difference in performance outcomes between formats. Equivalency theory provides the framework to determine if making online and on-campus experiences equivalent results in equal achievement. Results could inform acupuncture program online development given declining enrollment.

This study examined the relationship between institutional culture types (collegium, bureaucracy, enterprise, corporate) and faculty perceptions of online learning in chiropractic higher education. Surveys were administered to faculty at 6 chiropractic institutions to assess institutional culture and perceptions of online learning. Results found that faculty at bureaucracy-type institutions had more negative perceptions, while those at enterprise-type institutions had more positive perceptions. The study recommends that bureaucracy institutions transition to more of an enterprise culture to improve perceptions of online learning. Female, non-white, and full-time faculty expressed higher perceptions of online learning.
Keyonda Smith's paper titled "Student Perceptions of Acupuncture Online Course Equivalency and a Comparison of Online and On-Campus Student Performance Outcomes" was accepted to be presented as a brief paper at the E-Learn 2016 conference in Washington D.C. from November 14-16, 2016. The letter provides details on uploading the proceedings paper by October 12th, registering for the conference by the same date, and guidelines for preparing and giving the presentation.
Dr. Keyonda Smith, an instructional designer at Trident University International, will present her research on how institutional culture can shape faculty perceptions of online learning at the 10th annual International Conference on E-Learning in the Workplace in June. Her presentation will focus on how educational institutions' cultures shape faculty views of online learning and how to foster innovation through culture. Dr. Smith earned multiple degrees from Trident University International, including a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.
This document is a certificate verifying that Keyonda Smith successfully completed and passed a course called "PH201x: Health and Society" offered by HarvardX, an online learning initiative of Harvard University through edX. The course was taught by Monica L. Wang, an instructor of social and behavioral sciences at the Harvard School of Public Health, and Ichiro Kawachi, a professor of social epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. The certificate confirms the authenticity of the completion on February 15th, 2014.
Certificate of Achievement was awarded to Keyonda Smith for reviewing courses for the 2016 Exemplary Course Program award, which recognizes a commitment to excellence in online education. The certificate was granted and signed by Debbora Woods, Program Manager, on December 21, 2016.
Certificate of Completion was granted to Keyonda Smith for successful completion of the Peer Reviewer Course (PRC) on November 16, 2016. The course was facilitated by Melanie Kroening through the quality management program website at www.qmprogram.org.
This document contains the results of a student survey given to Jim Herbst's students at Fortis College in Orange Park, Florida. The survey asked students to rate their agreement with various statements regarding their instructor, Keyonda Smith, their course, and the school.
The results showed that the majority of students strongly agreed or agreed that Ms. Smith was an excellent instructor who was organized, enthusiastic, provided feedback, encouraged questions, and helped students succeed. A few students commented that she was the best teacher they have had.
Students also responded positively about their course, finding the materials up-to-date and assignments helpful for learning. A couple students suggested improvements could be made to student lounge and smoking areas. Overall
The document provides details of grant awards from the Florida Department of Health's Office of Minority Health for its Closing the Gap Grant Program for fiscal year 2009-2010. It lists multiple recipient organizations in various counties that will receive funding to address priority health areas like maternal/infant mortality, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, immunizations, oral health, and HIV/AIDS among minority populations like African Americans and Hispanics. The grants were approved and revised amounts are shown for 12 month funding periods.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
