Dear Sir
OVERSEAS TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATION: M IMAYAVARAMBAN
I am writing this reference as the PhD supervisor of M Imayavaramban. He
has been one of my PhD students for the last 12 months. His PhD project is
focussed on the investigating some of the challenging aspects of Matrix
Converter design and control, particularly focussed on aerospace
applications.
M Imayavaramban is a very hardworking and dedicated student who has
made exceptionally good progress during the first year of his PhD studies.
This progress is typified by the acceptance of his paper at one of the best
IEEE conferences in our research area. He has shown ability in both the
simulation and practical construction of power converters. This high level of
progress is unusual for a student during the first year of PhD in Power
Electronics. I have no hesitation in supporting his application for funding to
attend this conference.
I hope that you will give this application your full consideration.
Yours sincerely
