1. Student/Applicant Adrián Ortega
August 3th, 2015
To whom it may concern:
I am writing this letter, with pleasure, to recommend Mr. Adrian Ortega as
Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Polytechnic University
of Madrid (UPM).
I have been Mr. Adrian’s teacher for the subjects of Electricity Generation with
Renewable Energies, which form part of his specialization in Electrical Engineering
within the Superior five years Industrial Engineering degree.
I soon realized his outstanding analytical and technical skills as well as his passion
for engineering and in particular for electrical engineering and sustainable
energies. I show it from his questions and comments during the classes and after
them. He is very fast learning new and complex concept. He would anticipate
certain ideas that were to be explained later on in the course. Furthermore, he has
the ability to develop those concepts that he have quickly learn further by making
himself questions about them and I could see that he enjoys himself by
considering and investigating new idea. His intellectual and work abilities, as well
as his professional education, were also endorsed by the excellent grades he
obtained in the subject I taught, as well as in the rest of the subjects on the
degree finishing the degree within the top students of his graduation promotion.
In the course of the conversations that we have had on several occasions, Mr.
Adrian has impressed me – apart from with his intelligence and maturity- by his
firm resolve and the great hopes he has to continue learning and helping society in
its development.
Thanks to his top grades at UPM he got an scholar ship and with it the opportunity
to study abroad a graduate program at one of the best Electrical Engineering
schools in Europe, The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm
(Sweden), where he have done a Master in Electric Power Engineering. At KTH he
developed further his knowledge within Electrical Engineering performing very
well. He got an average grade of excellent and his Master Thesis was graded with
the maximum grade possible. As a plus Mr. Adrian combined the studies with
working at Xylem at the department of Research & Development where he
designed, built and tested a new high efficiency permanent magnet assisted
synchronous reluctance motor for pump applications. A very actual investigation
field.
I consider Mr. Adrian Ortega one of the best students of UPM and a person with a
really high potential, motivation, and education to perform excellent in any area
related with Electrical Engineering which is what he really likes.
To conclude, based on my experience and his excellent performance, I am
confident he possess all the abilities to become an important member of the
engineering/development staff of any company or university. Please do not
hesitate to contact me, if you need further information.
Yours sincerely,
Carlos Veganzones Nicolás
