Dear Sir/Madam
High Tech Crime Unit Internship
I am very pleased to submit my application for an internship with the High Tech Crime Unit at Hampshire
Constabulary as advertised on the SPEC placement website. I have enclosed my curriculumvitaefor consideration.
My particular interestin the role is linked to the opportunities to specialisein all aspects of combatinghigh-tech
crime and I recognise the many benefits of participatingin this internship in terms of exposureto real -life
scenarios, workingcompetently under the supervision of experts and gaining added merit in terms of
employability after graduation.
My interest in the future of combatingcrime through the use of IT supportand working with a diversegroup of
professionals with varyingskillsand knowledge has led me to apply for this dynamic and valuableinternship. With
the guidanceand assistanceof a learned mentor nearby, I will beableto optimisemy growth as a professional and
produce quality results thatdirectly aid in achievingthemission of the unit.
The often frenetic environment of an operational policeunitwill beideal for me, as I work best under pressure
and under the high expectations of myself and others above me. I have two years servicewith the National Guard
of Cyprus, which has enabled me to gain a wide range of skillsin takingresponsibility, communicatingatvarious
levels and working collaboratively with others. Working as partof a team with special army equipment and
technology devices has provided me with a strong baseof interpersonal skillsthatwill enableme to perform
successfully in this post.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon to further discussmy application and to make the necessary
arrangements for my participation in this programme.
Yours faithfully
Dimitris Michailidis
