o 18th August 1975 was a very important day in Tamil Cinema – The day the Superstar of Tamil
Cinema’s first movie: ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ released. 18th August 2015 marked his completion of
40 years in the industry.
o Like everyone else, we at Digitally Inspired Media are die-hard fans of Rajinikanth, and since
our campaign last year was so well received, we were encouraged to do it again!
o We decided to make a tribute to him in a style unlike any other, synonymous with the
Superstar himself

3. How
o We wanted to wish him uniquely, by combining concept and art
o We finalized on taking a pop-colour and artsy approach, with bright colours and deep tones
involving Rajinikanth’s character as he is in his movies, while delivering those memorable and
distinct punch-dialogues.
o 2 teams were formed, one to strategize and collect data and the other to design the creatives
