Dec. 2013
(Here is an example of a
fan’s Instagram photo that
was chosen for Fedde’s
video)
• To create this video, Fedde asked his fans (via social media) to take a lyric
from his song, make a sign with that lyric, and post the picture to Instagram
• Fedde selected fan pictures, and decided to flash them in the video as the
lyrics are being sung
• “Where We Belong” is one of Fedde’s hit tracks. The video received tons of
positive feedback from fans enjoying the fact that they got to be featured in
the video

"I think it's such a great way to show or let people hear your
view on music at the moment, because it's very current.”
(Fedde discussing DLS)
•
Fedde and Kat are very adamant with
uploading music as soon as its produced
• That way, listeners stay up to date with
Fedde’s latest tracks/podcasts
•
In November 2011, Fedde launched a
series of weekly mixes called “Dark
Light Sessions” (DLS)
DLS showcases Fedde’s darker music
style (techno, techhouse)
• Allows Fedde to reach a wider
variety of listeners, apart from the
mainstream
To this day, they are able to be
accessed through his Facebook
• Fans look forward to the mixes
being posted every Friday

14. FEDDE LE GRAND
”I want to be in the studio with as many people as I can. But I think if you plan
something, it doesn't work out. If you just go in there, jam and just make
something that everyone likes, that's when the best stuff comes out. Otherwise, it
sounds forced. It's an organic thing, and that's how it should come out.”
-
• Fedde’s music is REAL – that’s how
he maintains his fan base
• He does not plan his music in advance
– he plays what feels right
• During live performances, Fedde
feeds off the crowds energy and
fluctuates between genres/songs
based on that
