SOME OF THE
LEADING HOTELS BY
TAJ
 1903:- THE TAJ MAHAL PALACE
• There's more than one Taj Mahal in India. Glamorous Mumbai is
home to the Taj Mahal Palace, one of the best luxury hotels in
India, whose opulence challenges that of the original.
• Having hosted kings, presidents and rock stars for over a
century, it predates even the Gateway of India as a historic local
landmark.
 1970:-THE TAJ LAKE PALACE
Located in Udaipur, 'the Venice of the East,' the Taj Lake
Palace is steeped in the romantic history of princes and
mistresses.
Accessible via boat, the floating palace's cinematic qualities are
undeniable. So much so that it was used as Octopussy's lair in
the 1983 James Bond film.
 1982:-TAJ MAHAL HOTEL
 The Taj Mahal Hotel is a 5-star luxury hotel in Delhi, India.
 Located in Luytens’s Delhi, towards the southwest of India
Gate, the 11 storey hotel is an example of Mughal architecture
in the city and is constructed out of
pink Dholpur sandstone and is set amidst gardens.
 The hotel has 294 luxury rooms, including 27 deluxe suites.
 2001:-TAJ EXOTICA RESORT AND SPA
 Taj Exotica Resort and Spa is launched in Maldives, a first in
this chain of exclusive retreats.
 Set on a landscaped private island, this high-end beach
resort is a 15-minute speedboat ride from the capital, Malé,
home to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
 Luxurious villas have private decks, beach access and
ocean views.
 2005:-The Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace
A hotel fit for kings, quite literally: the resplendent Taj Umaid
Bhawan was once the domain of the local Maharaja.
One of the world's largest private residences, the hotel has plenty
to see and do on-site…as well as a collection of vintage cars
available for chauffeured tours of Jodhpur.
 2006:-TAJ SAFARI
Taj Safaris comprises a portfolio of four opulent yet eco-friendly
lodges that number among the best luxury hotels in India.
Situated in the most impressive national parks of
Madhya Pradesh - Pench, Panna, Kanha and Bandhavgarh -
each offers unparalleled opportunities to spot local flora and
fauna.
 2010:-TAJ FALAKNUMA PALACE
• 2,000 feet above Hyderabad and constructed in the shape of a
scorpion, the Taj Falaknuma Palace certainly isn't subtle.
• Within the hotel's 32-acre grounds, guests will find rarefied art
pieces, a library built to replicate Windsor Castle's, and 60
rooms that are the very picture of grandeur
HOSPITALITY BRANDS OF TAJ
 Since the late 2000s, the Taj hotels' group started organising its hotels
into different brands, in a market segmentation strategy.
 TAJ/TAJ LUXURY - The luxury brand is the erstwhile generic brand of the
Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. These hotels cover business destinations,
landmarks, palaces, resorts and forest destinations. Most of Taj's oldest
and most prestigious hotels have been retained under this brand.
 TAJ EXOTICA - It is the resort and spa brand of Taj Hotels.
 TAJ SAFARIS - The wildlife lodges amidst the Indian national parks
and national parks come under this brand label. The brand has
modelled on the concept of sustainable eco-tourism.
 VIVANTA BY TAJ - Vivanta is a contemporary-luxury hotel brand.
The brand caters to an upscale market and is positioned a step
below the flagship Taj brand. Vivanta Hotels are found business and
vacation destinations as well.
 The Gateway Hotels & Resorts - Gateway is a mid-
market brand, positioned below the Vivanta. It contains properties
in business and vacation destinations like Vivanta does. The
Gateway Hotel brand was created by Taj in its earlier market
segmentation effort and has been retained and expanded in the
current wave of brand-segmentation.
