plants in vidarbh.
๏ถ KTPS is located on the northern side of Nagpur
and is spread across an area of 30,337 km2.
๏ถ The plant approximately requires 16,000 to
17,000 tonnes of coal per day

Karanjkar assisted by Sri CL Gupta and Sri Sen
Gupta.
๏ถ Land requirement for the proposed project is
about 36.6 hectares.
๏ถ The total cost of the project is around Rs 4,390
crore, 20% contribution will be by the State
Government amounting to Rs 878 crore. The
remaining funds will be supported from several
lending institutions.

10. TROMBAY THERMAL POWER STATION

๏ถ Installed capacity- 1400MW
๏ถ The power plant is owned by Tata
Power.
11. DAHANU THERMAL POWER STATION

๏ถ District- Thane
๏ถ Installed capacity- 500MW
๏ถ It was constructed by BSES Ltd Reliance
Infrastructure later took over BSES.
๏ถ The power plant operated by Adani Electricity.
๏ถ The plant is located on Mumbai-Ahmedabad rail line
and is 120 km away from Mumbai and 20 km away
from Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Delhi National Highway 8
(India).
๏ถ The power plant was commissioned in 1995 and is
commercially producing power since 1996.
