4. PUMP DESCRIPTION
• SINGLE PHASE PUMPS:
• These pumps are assembled in the single phase assembly line with a cycle time
of 61 seconds .This assembly line is divided into the following regions:-
• (a) Connection region (d) Painting booth
• (b) Sub-assembly region (e) Packing area
• (c) Pump assembly region
• The pump assembly region is divided into following working stations-
• 1-Ball pressing
• 2-Mounting casing assembly
• 3-Motor assembly
• 4-Motor testing (at load, no load, lock rotor)
• 5-Mechanical seal fitment
• 6-Pump assembly (delivery casing attachment)
• 7-Pump testing (air pressure testing)
• 8-Flange fitment
• 9-Terminal box fitment
• 10-pump unloading.
