Be more active on weekends. Also when you tweet on Friday, most retweets

Use atleast 2 tools for twitter, I use Hootsuite and Twitter Analytics
By using these tools you can find out the following:
1) Twitter interactions
2) Search your audience by location or language
3) Usage rates and hashtags

Give unrealistic targets, just like corporate Sales targets are

change your style of tweet before people get used to you
